CDub50
I have been trying to install OSX X86 10.4.7, but when it gets past loading it never goes to the plash screen. I just get some white vertical lines on a black background. I'm pretty sure this is a video card issue, but I do not know where to go to fix this issue. I am running a ati 9800 pro agp model on a ASUS P4S800D-X mother board with 2 gigs of ram 100 Gig ata 133 drive with a P4 3.2 /HT. I also get an error when it shows what Darwin is loading in the command line it states," error occured for kernel extension /system/library/extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/contents/plugings/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext. It then trys to load the drivers for the airport wireless and other drivers then attempts to load the login page, but I get the black background with vertical white lines. Any help or direction would be a great help. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38853-trouble-installing-1047/ Share on other sites
CDub50
I forgot to mention that I did get it loaded on the drive but this problem happens when I'm booting from the hard drive after I installed everything from the dvd including the Jas patch that was included on the DVD. Sailfish
What patches did you choose? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38853-trouble-installing-1047/#findComment-276971 Share on other sites
CDub50
There was only a couple of options when I did the custom install I selected the default options and JaS patch for 10.4.7 and also the X11 as to what exactly was in the patch I'm not sure I did not inject those files into the image so i am not sure what their contents are. Is there a way I can see what exactly is in that patch?
