chumblaka
okay, so i read somewhere that u have to have the hdd as master on ide 1, and the dvd drive as slave on that same cable, which was way different than my xp configuration. This configuration is working and im able to boot the dvd, but im wondering if theres any other configuration that will work so i can be able to dual boot xp and osx? srry, i cant find the place where it told me to use this configuration, but hopefully you guys can help! thanks. Schwinn555
I'm guessing this is a fix for people who maybe having issues with some combos of hardware & bios. My machine has two ide buses . I've got 2 harddrives Master & slave on 1 bus/ cable . I've got my Pioneer 111 DVD as Master on the other ide bus / cable. No issues with it works fine. Bios let me choose which drive to boot from so I can boot from Win XP ,MacOS or DVD for installing no need for bootcamp etc. Gateway 300S Intel 845GL Celeron 2.4 GHz .
