RahamanPatrick
I am going to give installing OS X a shot, but first, what exactly are Sse2 and Sse3 and do I have them? I attached a picture of what CPU-Z told me. It listed them under instructions so I'm guessing I have them. Also I need to know if the torrents I am downloading are correct for the specs I have and if I will be able to install OS X. The names are : JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3 and JaS.10.4.8.AMD.Intel.SSE2.SSE3.v1p My Specs are: Pentium D 820 (Listed as compatible in the Wiki). NVIDIA GeForce 6200 with NVIDIA TurboCache (Listed as compatible in the Wiki). 1GB of DDR2 RAM Maxtor 100 GB SATA HDD (I have been told about problems with SATA drives). Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection (I know how to fix the problem with this network card). C-Media 9880 Onboard Sound Card (I have found Windows XP, 2000 and Linux drivers for this). Motherboard (See Picture): Edited January 13, 2007 by rahamanpatrick Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38580-pentium-d-820-osx86-installation/ Share on other sites
jacksont123
I can say that it does have SSE2 and SSE3 as mentioned in the instructions section on the 1st inverted screenshot. RahamanPatrick
Thanks. How about the torrents and specs? Specifically my motherboard. I don't know about my sound card as well, it seems to be very uncommon. Its a C-Media 9880 Onboard Sound Card and I have been able to get Windows 2000, XP and Linux drivers for it. I have also been told about problems with SATA drives.
