What is your hardware?

It is possible your sound card isn't 100% supported. I have seen a lot of sound cards "sort of" work where they will play audio most of the time but will hang and have to be reset. ACL 800 has the problem, but ACL 850 doesn't seem to be affected.. Look at getting a new sound card (USB) if you really need full sound support.

Letni

Does anyone know how to lock the sytem to 44100.00 Hz so it does not go too high??? it's up in the 55's.

Interesting read...

I've also been having the same problem, and deleting Garageband didn't help...

And soemthing else I found, under the MIDI setup, the output is stated as 48000.0 Hz, and I can't change it to 44100.0 Hz.

But sometimes I get sound, soemtimes not, so I'm still clueless
