realfolkblues
Hi i installed GrageBand 3. Afterwards my audio has become unstable. Every 4 or so file i open wont have audio (and program). Then i close it out and start it again and it comes back. Anyone have any ideas? Running Jas 10.4.8/8.8.1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38451-garageband-3-unstable-audio/ Share on other sites
letni
What is your hardware? It is possible your sound card isn't 100% supported. I have seen a lot of sound cards "sort of" work where they will play audio most of the time but will hang and have to be reset. ACL 800 has the problem, but ACL 850 doesn't seem to be affected.. Look at getting a new sound card (USB) if you really need full sound support. realfolkblues
So it looks like i have a common problem with macs. Even real ones! Look here http://www.jeremyflint.com/archives/2006/0...-audio-problem/ Does anyone know how to lock the sytem to 44100.00 Hz so it does not go too high??? it's up in the 55's. I've also been having the same problem, and deleting Garageband didn't help... And soemthing else I found, under the MIDI setup, the output is stated as 48000.0 Hz, and I can't change it to 44100.0 Hz. But sometimes I get sound, soemtimes not, so I'm still clueless Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38451-garageband-3-unstable-audio/#findComment-277321 Share on other sites
kramer2k
So I updated my QT to 7.1.3, uninstalled GB and iMovie, and all appears to be well! VLC, itunes, and QT all run well without audio dropouts! So i'm happy, my baby is back...for now Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38451-garageband-3-unstable-audio/#findComment-277537 Share on other sites
