BobOki
I had installed the new 10.4.8, and saw iTunes 7.0.2 was working. So I tried copying the pkg file over to my 10.4.7 (sse3)and installed it but it came up as 6. So, I searched thru the forums to see if anyone had yet got itunes 7 working in 10.4.7/8 yet without making it ppc or using the 8.8.1. I found nothing, so I decided to go ahead and try the ppc install. I force quitted itunes helper, and used appzapper to uninstall iTunes 6. Then I downloaded 7.0.2 from Apple's website, and installed it. That went totally fine. Before I did the ppc instructions, just for {censored} and grins, I went ahead and opened it, and it works. Its FAST, its stable, and all the functions seem to work fine. I have not yet tried this on my 10.4.7 sse2 yet, just my sse3 10.4.7 machine. I will try it shortly, but i have a feeling it will work.
