aPpLeFrEaKpEePs
mcp 51 SATA support is still in the works.. u can read but cant write yet. get an IDE HDD or wait for SATA support.. u can install via VMWARE as it uses windows SATA driver while emulating Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38374-jas-amd-intel-1048-on-geforce-6100/#findComment-297085 Share on other sites
skyfox
I have the exact same board. At first I couldn't get it to boot because my dvd-rom was on the primary IDE. Then, it wouldn't install because I was using a SATA hard drive. Once I installed a PATA drive on primary IDE and dvd-rom on 2ndary IDE (both master) it booted and installed fine. When the desktop came up it was VERY slow. I found the cpu usage to be at 100% most of the time. Also, the built-in network card was not detected so I threw in an old one and disabled the onboard. That not only got me online, but also fixed the 100% cpu usage! Seems much faster than my G5 now.
