socalismylife Posted January 9, 2007 Share Posted January 9, 2007 (edited) I just installed 10.4.8, works well. However, my laptop will not boot unless I have the install DVD in the drive. When it boots it displays the Install Mac OS X counter and when that stops it boots up. If I don't have the DVD in then I just see a blinking _. What's wrong here? I installed it on the 1st of 3 partitions of an 80GB SATA drive. I am using the original JaS 10.4.8 SSE3 ONLY DVD. Other harware specs: ASUS S96J w/ Intel T2300E.
