Hey,

can someone tell me what I should do,

to get this "Out the Range"-Message away?!

Booting natively results in the Message called above

and booting in VMWare ends up in endless loading-screen (Apple logo).

I read about an command to set the resolution in Darwin (don't know if it'd work),

but I can't get into single user mode.....not even in safe-mode... :\

Since I installed the JaS 10.4.7 SSE2 I don't have the countdown at startup - just "Loading Darwin"

and not a second later "Starting Darwin" and the Apple screen after that...

can someone help me to get that clear?!

bye,

darker

Hey.

To boot into safe mode. press F8 so you can get to the boot menu and them type -x and press enter. If you are getting an "out of range" signal try F8 again to get to the boot menu and type "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32" (type it exactly like that with the quotes) you shouldnt have to boot into safe mode if that works for you. good luck.

Brad

Thanks for your fast help, Brad...

....but unfortunately it didn't work.

"Graphics Mode" command brought the same error

and trying to boot in Safe Mode costs more time, but results in the same...

Here's the exact error message:

Attention

Out the range

H:173.1kHz V:179.9Hz

More help would be appreciated. :thumbsup_anim:

Thanks,

darker

Let OSX boot completely until your monitor shuts down then try this:

Bring your mouse cursor to the most upper-left position, click one time, then on your keyboard : down 4 times, then enter, type : d i s p l, down once, then enter.

That should bring you to the displays settings panel.

Now press TAB once and use your up and down arrows to change resolutions. You should press UP to lower the resolution until something shows up.

try -x switch at boot, then remove macvidia. (type F8 before to be able to enter boot arguments)

the graphics mode=... option will only set graphics mode for VESA compliant display at boot time (apple logo). Once OS X is loaded, if you have display settings stored in your preferences, it will switch to last used/stored resolution...

Hey guys,

thanks for your replys,

but I tried almost everything and a friend of mine explained the

steps to me very detailled - nothing worked.

Trying to boot in safe mode (-x) still results in the same message... :\

I think, I'll have to install again tommorow...
