bptba93
Ok, my computer has a Asus Buckeye p965/g965 motherboard with a E6300 C2D.(According to CPU-Z) When I first popped in the 10.4.6 Jas DVD I get something about my SATA Drive. So I went into the Bios and changed the SATA from RAID to IDE, fixing that problem. Then the next thing it said something about the cpu, cpus=1 fixed that. Now it's stuck at ACPI: System State [s0 S3 S4 S5] (S3) and I have no idea what is wrong. If anybody could help me it would be most appriciated. By the way I am currently dl'ing the new Jas 10.4.8 DVD. Would this help, or would this do nothing? Thanks a lot to whoever helps. Taylor... joe75
Did you try different bios settings, does it say the same thing every time you try to install?? Did you see this thread or search around the forum before complaining about not getting a response? http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;hl=p965/g965 Edited January 9, 2007 by joe75 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37981-boot-probs/#findComment-271534 Share on other sites
bptba93
there is nothing about ACPI in my bios, i finally got the drive problem to go away by setting the SATA mode to IDE. Now this pops up and there is nothing I can do about it in my bios. joe75
Try switching out ACPI kexts with other versions, I have had to do that allot on my laptop. Being your boards an ASUS I would think there would be some kind of settings in the bios Edited January 9, 2007 by joe75 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37981-boot-probs/#findComment-271557 Share on other sites

gotoh
you could try to flash your BIOS with an ASUS release for the retail mobo version, instead of the OEM BIOS which probably hides some settings. Also, some BIOS have hidden settings which get displayed when pressing a key combo like CTRL+F1 wwhen you're in your BIOS...
