en_fr_bowman
Maybe this post is not so useful, but I would like to share my experience with installing osx on this Packard Bell model... I hope someone who has this model or a similar one can be happy to know that the system is very usable! Installation ,made with Jas 10.4.8 Reseed Video Component nVidia GeForce Go 7300 works with Titan/Natit QE,CI 1280x800x32, external connection not tested Sound AD 1986A HD Audio SoundMAX Codec works with internal speakers, but as soon as I connect external speakers, sound disappears. I have also an external USB Sound Card (Edirol ua25) that works perfectly with Edirol osx drivers (sometimes some pops and cracks are audible ) Centrino Duo CPU Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile T5200.... well, it works nicely Memory 2 Gigs of ram correctly seen Display LCD 15.4" TFT WXGA 1280x800 works well :-) Keyboard and pointing device Touchpad Synaptics works right out of the box Storage Components NEC ND-6750 DVD±RW Dual Layer Drive works right out of the box Seagate Momentus 5400.3 160 GB (P-ATA) 2,5" works right out of the box Modem Motorola 56k HDA Modem Not Tested yet (sorry...) Network Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG does'nt work (no hope at the moment) I use a dlink usb wificard instead (ralink driver) Realtek RTL8100CL Network Controller does'nt work (no solution at the moment) Bluetooth Works right out of the box Multi Media Components Integrated Camera syntek DC-1125 not working (there is a semi working linux driver, but nothing more) 4 Usb ports recognized as 2.0 That's all, if you think that this is not the right section to write this kind of posts please let me know. p.s. sorry for my not so good english Edited January 7, 2007 by en_fr_bowman Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37929-results-on-a-packard-bell-easynote-mx-201/ Share on other sites
