spanakorizo
recently i tried to load my Pinnacle PCTV card (bt878) in osx but with no luck i downloaded a bt8xx.kext from the xtelevision that had 2 strings for Audio and Video Capture i found mine from the device manager in XP: AUDIO DEV: 0878 VEN: 109e VIDEO: DEV: 036e VEN: 109e i blv that everyone with those chipsets have the same VENDOR Id as me and its 109e also the 0878 should be the same i tried to replace the correct ids in the kexts but still nothing happens the only thing i had to change was the 036e the others were the same as my card there is another kext from iTV but has no place to add the ids the application of iTV doesnt load(0.3 0.4) the xtelevision loads but with no luck at tuning or find any signal has anybody managed to load the tuner and how? i think it should be easy to build a kext or something not easy ofcourse but we should try at least links for iTV and xTV (both programs have their own bt8xx.kext so you can install it) http://xtv.sourceforge.net/ http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/16826 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37877-tv-tuners-with-bt8x8-chipsets/ Share on other sites
SuperCed
Yes,you can do something. You take my work here : http://superced.dyndns.org And then download sources. Then you'll have to upgrade the project for Leopard. And you compile it. Maybe, you'll have to do some code modifications. Then, it will work.
