hecker
Hi there, I am currently using this board with "JaS SSE2 SSE3 Intel AMD PPF1 and diskutil fix included". It works great except for the USB ports that don't seem to want to recognize my Canon IP4200 or my Palm LifeDrive. You will require a fix for your network device (in this forum). Except for that everything works really fine and fast. I am writing an installation journal and I will post it on this site as soon as I am finished configuring/testing my system. Cheers, hecker PS: A word of advice. If you update your BIOS firmware to the latest version you might get stuck installing OSX. Use one version before the last and you'll be ok. PM me if you need any help. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37578-msi-865pe-neo2-fis2r-jas-1048/#findComment-291014 Share on other sites
schnurzelat
Hello, i have the same Mainboard, but i can't get leo4allv3 running. The Computer reboots a few seconds after the bootloader started. I 've already downgraded the BIOS to Version 2.4, disabled all unnessesary Devices (Gigabit, Audio, Sata, extra sata Controller), removed all drives exept one IDE Harddisk and a IDE DVD-ROM (on the primary IDE controller), but still no luck. The switches -s -x -f -v at Darwin Bootloader doesn't help. A Systemoverview: P4 Northwood 2,4 GHZ Hyperthreading on MSI MS-6728 Neo2 FIS2R, Bios 2.4 Gainward Geforce 5900XT 2x1GB DDR Kingston IBM 160GB IDE Harddisk Samsung DVD-ROM Has anyone any suggestion? greetings schnurzelat Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37578-msi-865pe-neo2-fis2r-jas-1048/#findComment-1003263 Share on other sites
schnurzelat
Using my DSC, i was able to see what happens before the Computer reboots: EFI enhanced bootloader build: TOH Using SMBIOS table found at 0x000f0000 Using ACPI RSDP revision 0 <unreadable> system reboots Maybe it helps. bye schnurzelat Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37578-msi-865pe-neo2-fis2r-jas-1048/#findComment-1003640 Share on other sites
schnurzelat
Kalyway 10.5.2 doesn't work either (tried all kernels available). I'll try to use a different (non Hyperthreadding) P4 CPU. Maybe i'm lucky. bye schnurzelat Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37578-msi-865pe-neo2-fis2r-jas-1048/#findComment-1004632 Share on other sites
