ramon
Hi all, I have read quite a few times the install instructions and cannot find one thing: At what stage do I insert the Install DVD disk with the system on it? tia Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3742-a-question-about-installing-x86-tiger-to-a-pc/ Share on other sites
thrunner
Perhaps you got the Generic release1 patched BOOTABLE DVD. You would try to boot off that DVD once you have the proper PC hardware ready (preferably with a blank harddrive=safer that way) and set your BIOS to boot off DVD. Would you know if a AMD XP 2600 processor based PC would be able to run x86 tiger? DrJägermeister
Thanks. Would you know if a AMD XP 2600 processor based PC would be able to run x86 tiger? No it has only SSE support, you need a CPU with SSE2 (min) or SSE3 (better) http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCLPart#CPU Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3742-a-question-about-installing-x86-tiger-to-a-pc/#findComment-23832 Share on other sites

I did some googling and found plenty of info and reading stuff. I think I got the picture. (Not that it made me a processor expert by any stretch of imagination - but maybe a more careful buyer) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3742-a-question-about-installing-x86-tiger-to-a-pc/#findComment-23933 Share on other sites
