gokhan Bacak Posted January 2, 2007 Share Posted January 2, 2007 Hi guys I have been a Mac user for 6 yrs now but recently because of school I need a xp rig , now it would be brilliant if this rig could function as a osx machine as well xp rig with all basic features working sound, firewire, graphics etc working in osx. Here is what I am thinking of building: Asus M2N32-deluxe wifi edition AMD ATHLON 64 X2 4200+ 2.2GHZ Socket AM2 sapphire ATI Radeon X1650PRO 512MB DDR2 PCI-E VGA DVI TV As for the other components sound etc please let me know your opinions on what would work the best!! Joseph Goés Posted January 2, 2007 Share Posted January 2, 2007 Dude I have the same mobo you've listed, it has a NForce 590 chipset and I dont think anyone has found a way to get the ethernet controller working,. by the way forcedeth.kext does recognise the controller but soon as you reboot it blows the link. gokhan Bacak Posted January 2, 2007 Author Share Posted January 2, 2007 dude if i had the money to BUY A MAC pro dont you think i would have brought one ????????? people this is a system that is yet to be built if someone can give me a system to build that is very fast and reasonably cheap e.g £500-600 for componets then i will build that instead i just dont like intel but at the minute it looks like they are kicking AMD ass so i may be forced to build an intel system. so what would be the most fastest and easiest compatabile system with osx86 to build ??????? bare in mind i need this machine for graphics and 3d work !! thanks again !
