ramijames Posted January 1, 2007 Share Posted January 1, 2007 Hey all. Been trying to get a good working copy of OSXx86 working here. I'd like to use it for graphic design, so the video card should work. Long story short, I have installed the JaS 10.4.7 install with AMD patches and updated using the SSe2 patch to 10.4.8. I tried installing the Titan driver and killed my system because I didn't know you needed the 8.8.1 kernel. Reinstalled, with from advice from IRC, to the Tubgirl AMD release. And hot damn, the video stuff works.. but man is the whole system chuggingly slow, starting with the horridly slow install. Anyone else having this problem? Any fixes? Some perhaps related weirdness: it sees my memory as 8.5Gb even though I only have 1.2.
