Hello, my name is Kyle and I am new here, ive been trying to get Mac OS X to work on my Dell Laptop, I have managed to install it, but when I booted mac it just seems to freeze, It loads a welcome box, was quite a while ago, can't renember what it said exactly, I don't think it said to much there was a loading bar on this window and it just froze, didn't do anything, rebooted a few times and kept having that problem.

I was using: JaS OS 10.4.7, is there any problems with this. Should I get a different one?

I have a Intel Core Duo 1.83GHz processor

Will these work ok?

nvidia GeForce 7800

Externel 5.1 sound card "Creative Sound Blaster Live Externel USB"

Intel Pro Wireless 3945 (ipw3945). I have managed to get it to work on linux, would it be possible to use the linux drivers?

I am guessing that it should work. I am running 10.4.8 on my Dell Inspiroin.

- I don't know anything about the Creative External Sound Card, I have a cheap USB to audio adapter and it works fine.

- My Intel wireless card does not work. In another thread they are talking about porting Linux drivers but I think there is still a long way before they are finished.

- Just remember to change it to one core in the Boot.plist when you boot up. (Or at least I had to with the Core 2 Duo).

- I have the GeForce Go 7900 GS and it works with Titan.

Hope that helps you a little bit.

Okay thanks :(, I managed to get it working but it was slow and laggy so I uninstalled it, now im trying to install on my AMD Athlon XP 2600+ and I just get a boot error, do I have to do something special for AMD? Any will my RaLink wireless card work?
