Cause in my display property , I have no choice to choose another resolution.I just get 1024*768. But I want to change it to 1280*800*32. My MacOSX version is 10.4.6. I tried the driver for desktop , but after i installed, the screen will be black. (I also tried in version 10.4.8. the same!) Would anyone give me a hand with it, please? Thanks. Overclocked Tardis Posted December 31, 2006 Share Posted December 31, 2006 (edited) Yeah, I have an nVidia Geforce 7600 GS 256MB PCIx16 and I was wondering the same thing. 1024x768 feels so arcaic, lol. 1280x1024 is my native resolution under Vista/XP. Nevertheless, resolution is the least of my worries. I'm just excited I have OSX running natively on my box. I'm actually quite guilty though, I haven't googled or read any faqs concerning resolution under OSx86. Maybe we can hack kernel extensions or something... I'll post back with info if I find anything. Good luck, coolfish. I've got my resolutions back But after looking at my screensavers and playing around with the dashboard, it would appear as if proper acceleration hasn't been activated. n000b Posted January 4, 2007 Share Posted January 4, 2007 I've also got a laptop with x1300, and I've read many posts here about making it fully working, unfortunately, the most successful step so far is making it working in VESA mode, QE/CI enabled (with "mouse tearing"), but the resolution is locked at 1024x768. I didn't hear any successful story for it working natively.
