Hi,

I just recently had a huge crash in osx that completely screwed both my osx and windows installations. (hard drive corrupted). I want to attempt a windows repair but I can't get my system to boot from the windows install cd again.

Can anyone help me figure out a way to boot from the windows install cd ? I thought maybe I could use bless or something. (note: i still can't get into osx yet).

Thanks!

Didn't really understand the question mate? try and be a little clearer...

A Windows Repair...?

"I thought maybe i could bless or something"?? - Blessing the disk will not help (unless you have faith?)

Boot from a windows cd... stick the Cd in and hold C on startup.

Sorry I haven't been able to get online. No macbook and im on vacation.

I am working on repairing the osx partition. Its the windows partition I need more help with. I want to boot from the vista install disc so that I can run chkdsk.

Problem is I can't get the macbook to boot from a windows formatted disc. It doesn't recognize the windows install disc as bootable. I have tried using c when booting and also tried using alt/option. The windows cd does not appear as a boot possibility. (Note: any mac boot cd works fine).

Any suggestions?
