Alright, so this is pretty much my hardware break down:

AMD 3200+ SSE3 @ 2.3ghz

Abit AX8 (pos motherboard)

Corsair XMS Ram 1024mb ddr400

onboard audio

via lan doesnt work, there is a 3com knock off card running lan

pioneer drv-110d dvd burner

xfx 6600gt full 3d support

apple usb keyboard / logitech mx510 mouse

xbench is around 117... screen shots to fallow this post

How the hell can you get 117 points in xbench? I have some about the same setup, same proc (only not overclocked) same graphics card, 2GB memory and I get only 88 points :P

What score do you have in geekbench btw?

I just re-ran it and its 116 meh, not bad, I havent run geekbench yet but i will sometime today.

Hm your memory and disks perform way better. I have 2GB memory now but it has slow down to 333mhz instead of 400mhz which it should be, still have to find out how that comes. And I'm running on an quite old IDE disk because my sata disk isn't supported.

Yea the speed of your DDR makes a huge diff, get into your bios and change your command rate on your ram to t1 if you cant clock up to 400mhz..

My hard drive that holds the boot volume OS X is a SATA drive, with a 16mb cache...It provides a lot better performance then when I used a ata drive...

Yeah it sucks that I can't use my sata disk because I have a non support ati sata controller. But I'm going to figure out why my memory runs at only 333mhz while it should be 400mhz. Cause that's slowing things down I guess.

In my bios I can only change it to even more slower speeds with max 200mhz :S I don't get it. I guess it has something to do with how I've seperated the memory. I have 256-256-512-1GB. Maybe I have to change the order in which they are installed or something. Or it just can't provide 400mhz to 4 slots.

Well when I work on older pentium 3-4 model IMB's at school the school tech tells me to install ram dimms by having the largest one in the closest socket to the CPU...

I don't no why, I don't have many issues other wise. I supose your cpu would address the larger ram dimm first.
