Hi there,

I understand that so far no one has really been able to get 512 cards working in Hackintosh macs, so my question is, if I change my cards rom (7900 GTX 512) to show 256 megs of ram, will this need to be hexed in Natit as well. (I am using the dual display version) and although I have flashed a number of PC cards to work in Power PC macs, this is all quite new to me.

By the way, thanks for all the help I have found here, it really is first class & has helped me get the following up & running like a train!

My system is:

Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 with Core Duo 2.13

with Jas 10.4.8 Semtex + various Pion's fixes.

currently 7900GS (borrowed) but would like to use my 7900 GTX 512 (at 256 if necessary)

driving 2 x Apple 20" monitors (see through type)

Working onboard Sound

Working onboard Ethernet

2 gigs DDR 2

Pioneer DVR 111D

WD Raptor 76 gig boot drive

D-Link Bluetooth

Hi Soundless & thanks for the reply,

I get a kernel panic if I start up with 7900 GTX 512 in my system and Natit or Titan kext in place. I am fine if I use a 7900 GS 256 that I borrowed, I then get full selection of resolutions. System also starts up fine with the 512 in place and no Natit /Titan in place but no resolution options, spanning, CI or QE. So if there is a way I can utilise this card by reducing to 256, I would give it a go, I am sure others may have got this card to work but I am not sure what they did.

no one got this card to work, it seems that the natit/titan kext need to be modified but nobody of the capable guys showed interest in doing it so i would sell it asap, flashing is not going to work buddy :-)

i got myself a nice 7800 GTX (256mb of course), it is working great, ext. desktop also works

Hi icyderguru,

Thanks for your reply, I think you may be right, as I just tried flashing with a GT 256 rom and the boot straps changed to match the GTX and while it booted, with Natit installed I still got a KP at the same place as when it had the 512 rom on board. This was also with Natit edited to match the device id of the GTX shown as a GT. Shame though as I already had the card! Think I will do as you suggest, thanks for the advice.

Cheers.
