Anyone have an luck with r3000z. The deadmoo image works perfect with vmware but after dd'ing on a hard drive partition. I cannot boot, initially I had NV* kext problems got rid of that. Then AppleAirport* kexts deleted them too next GeForce got rid of them too. I am left still with a Kernel panic.

Yep...well sort of...

I had that same problem, kernal panic after kernal panic.

In the end I pulled several files out of the /System/Library/Extensions

NVDAResman.kext

NVDANV10Hal.kext

GeForce.kext

AppleAirPort2.kext

AppleAirPort3.kext

AppleAirPort.kext

It fired up right after that.

I am still trying to work out the bugs, but overall I am quite pleased. I keep noticing several random "joys," for example, you can't change the root password without a usb keyboard. It doesn't read the input of the integrated keyboard until the OS is fully loaded.

As I keep solving issues, I will come and post back on this board.

Keep the faith. You will be very surprised at the speed when you do get it up and running.

BTW, could you please teach me to "pull" above files from /System/Library/Extensions ?

Thanks
