I downloaded this osx86 with the patch pre applied via torrent and burnt it to disk. Im pretty sure my hardware is compatible as its only a standard dell. But in all honesty im pretty unsure about what im supposed to have done pre installation. I dont want any dualboot or anything, i just want it to have mac osx on it. So what i did was put the disk in, erase the hard drive and format it to mac journal, then i clicked install. it went through the whole installation hassle free and restarte. i was like wow, this was easy and then pow, on restart nothing just an error on boot saying 'b0 error' please help me! :pirate2:

Ok the tutorial is posted like 100's of times else where so i wont post agen, it was easy. only problem is now i get into the loading screen before getting an error picture in the middle of my screen, similar to the do not disconnect symbol on an ipod, eek, id better get searching, unless sum1 knows what this is and could post it here fo me...thanks

ok so i cant find any info about this at all. im guessing its an error on my part, either that or my hardware isnt compatible....any help at all would be good. ;) i wish i could just afford a mac mini so i wudnt hav to do all this...:P

how would i go about doing that? i have no press f8 option, it jus says loading darwin and then loads osx, then crashes. thanks

ok so it works. apart from sound and networking.

the sound is a "SigmaTel C-Major STAC9750T" which is an onboard AC'97 - the computer just says no sound card found

the ethernet is a "Broadcom BCM5705MKFB" - doesnt recognise it

the wireless is a "Intel Pro/Wireless 2100" doesnt recognise it

does anyone know of any fixes?

thankx agen in advance

sound - follow the Audio link in my signature and read about Sigmatel 9750

ethernet - follow the Ethernet link in my signature and read about Broadcom 57xx

wireless - there is no solution for this on OSX. Buy an external USB device or investigate replacing the internal wireless card with a compatible device.
