dressjoe
Hello, I spent many hours to finally get the OS installed on a partition on one of my HD's then updated the boot.ini to include the chain0 and dual boot. But when I choose the MacOSx86 to boot from it wont get past the grey screen with the circle. After 3 minutes of watching that a do not enter sign pops up. I saw a post about USB devices causing this so I unplugged everything USB from my computer and it still does this everytime. Tried -x and platform=.... when I booted -v {censored} loads of stuff came up but it was frozen, I took pics with my digital cam. Can someone tell me what its stuck on and how to get it up? Sentertainment
I'm guessing you tried the deadmoo install... When I used the deamoo install, I got about that far after many hours, only to find out I needed alot of patches. If you are using the deadmoo version, get the generic install dvd and patch it using the PPF-O-Matic patch (it's real easy and it's the best patch I know of) Also, is you MB and nforce chipset? You didn't state you HD's, but SATA WILL NOT WORK with OSx86 and nforce chipsets. Not an nForce chipset to my knowledge, I have 2 drives in RAID other 2 IDE I believe Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/3634-dual-boot-installed-but-osx-hangs/#findComment-23356 Share on other sites
