I've tried some of the possible solutions found here, but none helped me. Is there any?

Thanks in advance! Everything is working really well, except the damn HDD.

Your problem lies in the IDE Controller. There are no drivers for the ALi chipset. Until one is written, you are just going to have to stick with the slow speeds.
