I like Sentinel but I’m using Xattr-remove 😀

But maybe there is a big difference: Sentinel can remove quarantine attribute but also re-sign ad-hoc the app, replacing the certificate, this can fix some issues at first run of the app.

@miliuco, my friend, I used the Sparkle updater to update the Glass version of About This Hack from 4.2.8 to 4.2.9.

 

The update itself went perfectly fine, but it installed the standard version instead of the Glass version.

 

Any possibility of fixing this on your side?

Well! Single appcast has only the opaque version. My bad. I’ll add a different appcast for transparent version. So, both versions update themselves.

Done. I guess that glass version now updates itself. Please do a test: get the 4.2.8 glass and tell me if it updates to glass 4.2.9 as expected. It does on my system. Thanks.

Flawless Sparkle update to v.4.3.0

 

translucent language selection perfectly works in the glass version. BTW.. Where is my German translation? Wasn't it useful at all?  

 

Now I am unable to add anything to my posts. Not even images smaller than 1MB.

Perfect 🙂 Just one small correction:

 

 

For the boot disk section I would probably use another German term instead of simply “Speicher”, maybe something like:

“Bootmedium”

“Bootspeichermedium”

or “Systemfestplatte”

Although I also noticed that the English version currently uses “Storage” instead of something more specific like “Boot Medium” or “Startup Disk” 🙂

Regarding the English word "Storage," my intention was to maintain the English strings from the original repo, About This Hack, but you're right that it doesn't actually show the storage (at least not ALL the storage), only the boot disk. Of the options you mentioned to replace Speicher, my favorite is Systemfestplatte (System hard drive), which is the one I'm going to use. And in the other languages as well.

 

Note that Sparkle doesn't have liquid-glass version, so these dialogs are still opaque.

@miliuco I tested the latest release (4.3.2) of the glass version and it works for me. Just to confirm, the glass version also uses the modified sparkle with the new digital signature method, right?
