Graphx
Okay I have seen that it can be done. Is there a matx motherboard that will fit the case without haveing to hack the case besides the i/o ports or the motherboard to much. I like to buy one that will allow me to use X86 on it as the OS. Graphx
Would this board ASRock AM2NF6G-VSTA allow me to mod the g4 sawtooth and then run Tiger or Leopard on this system. The processor will be a Sempron processor rated at either 1.6 ghz or 1.8 ghz. Graphx
Oops, forgot to ask if anyone has used this motherboard in a mod and if you did what are some of things I will have to look out for. karmatose
I got the Asus P5B-VM. Its a good board and is supported. Has onboard video and a PCIe slot + two legacy PCI slots. Nice board overall. And natakim, you totally butchered that case! Theres much better ways to get air into the machine! One of these days when i get a digital camera I'll post the right way to do a G4 air intake mod. natakim
karmatose, it's actually to throw the air out (so its not intake, rather extraction). there is a panel i put in front of the fans, made from black steel mesh, which cleans up the front view. karmatose
I see. Would love to see a picture with the mesh in there. Always looking for ideas to improve airflow. However i dont think i could justify loosing my cdrom bay for it.
