pcace
Hi there, i have issues getting USB working correctly on Tahoe, and a Z690M-ITX/ax board. config is attached. config_removedcredentials.plist i have no usb mapping kexts installed. when running USBMap, i get these results: ##################################################### # Discover USB Ports # ####################################################### ----- XHCI@14 Controller ----- 1. HS01 | AppleUSB20XHCIPort | 1 (01000000) | 14100000 | Type 9 2. HS02 | AppleUSB20XHCIPort | 2 (02000000) | 14200000 | Type 3 3. HS11 | AppleUSB20XHCIPort | 11 (0b000000) | 14b00000 | Type 0 12. HS12 | AppleUSB20XHCIPort | 12 (0c000000) | 14c00000 | Type 0 13. HS13 | AppleUSB20XHCIPort | 13 (0d000000) | 14d00000 | Type 255 - LED Controller 14. HS14 | AppleUSB20XHCIPort | 14 (0e000000) | 14e00000 | Type 255 Populated: XHCI: 3 so all of them are HS ports. no SS ports appear. when i follow the tutorial, and generate a dummy kext, then reboot, i have no usb ports available whatsoever, so nothing works and nothing is found. i guess its a trivial thing, but i just cannot find my way out of this! how can i make a correct USB map with SS ports? Any help would be great! Thanks a lot!! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362412-usbmap-only-shows-hs-ports-no-ss-ports-tahoe/ Share on other sites
pcace
weirdly enough, Hackintool shows: i tried again to make a dummy USBMap kext, this time without disabling or enabling anything and i also only get the 14 first HS entries. no SS visible anywhere. verdazil
@pcace, don't rely on Hackintool readings without critical evaluation. Use recognized USB subsystem configuration tools, such as USBMap. https://github.com/corpnewt/USBMap Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362412-usbmap-only-shows-hs-ports-no-ss-ports-tahoe/#findComment-2847643 Share on other sites

I now have found a working USBMap.kext for this exact Motherboard (which i had to convert to Tahoe using USBMapInjectorEdit.command now i do have working USB ports, also with USB-C with full speed. My issue is resolved, but the question still remains - how would i have done this by my self? (i do have some experience as a +10 Year Hackintosh user) 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362412-usbmap-only-shows-hs-ports-no-ss-ports-tahoe/#findComment-2847645 Share on other sites
