My computer has only 1 DP and a VGA. I have never used the VGA. I have used a DP monitor once and an HDMI monitor once, always connected with the DP. Only one monitor at a time, never two; to use two I would have to use the VGA. I'm using an HP400G5SFF, and there are no particular problems with my BIOS settings. I think the maximum iGPU memory is 64MB, so it should be fine to reduce it from 128MB. The original EFI is BugSur 11.3, so I don't think it's guaranteed to work on anything other than 11.3. EDIT: It looks like you've already written a complaint.😀 Does it work with AAPL,ig-platform-id = <07009B3E>? I just tried both: first lowering the VRAM to 64MB and then changing that parameter. I get the same result. An acquaintance prepared a "new" EFI folder for me that supports up to Sequoia, but I'm experiencing the exact same problem. Is it possible I need to find the correct value for AAPL,ig-platform-id on my system? Is it possible to find this out from the Linux terminal? I've attached the new EFI. indibil
News!! I've managed to boot with this EFI and Ventura (I haven't installed it yet). I don't know what this EFI has that allows me to boot it and the previous ones didn't. https://github.com/CamiciaNera/HP-ProDesk-400-G4-MT-OC This model is MT and mine is SFF. Will the USB mapping be compatible? Or should I replace it with the old one? indibil
Hello. Yesterday, using this latest EFI folder from GitHub for the DM model, I was able to install Ventura, and everything works perfectly, including the NVMe drive, the UHD630, and the USB 3.0 ports. As a side note, this folder includes the chime that plays when OpenCore loads. Thanks to everyone for your help. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362214-a-newbies-problems-with-opencore-prodesk-g4-400-sff/page/2/#findComment-2846724 Share on other sites
