kaoskinkae
The three computers are perfect; two of them are New and OLD1 with Radeon RX570 and RX560 graphics cards, and the third, OLD2, has a counterfeit Intel graphics card (see my specs). Everything works perfectly with the modified, unofficial Lilu.kext kext instead of WhateverGreen.kext, but I've noticed a graphics error, which I've included along with the screenshots. I don't know if it's a beta issue or a bug in Lilu.kext. deeveedee
Very easy unattended upgrade from Tahoe 26.3 Beta 2 -> Beta 3. Disabled BluetoolFixup.kext to allow incremental upgrade and then re-enabled BluetoolFixup.kext after the upgrade. Following the upgrade, I am also seeing the minor graphics artifacts around my cursor with UHD 630 iGPU. Other than that, no issues that I have seen. My system config is as follows: Open Core 1.0.6 WhateverGreen.kext 1.7.0 / Lilu.kext 1.7.2 Beta SMBIOS MBP16,2 EDIT: Thanks to the tip from Thebes Knossos here, I have added "DisableSolarium" to my Tahoe settings to improve iGPU performance in Tahoe. The settings that I am currently experimenting with in Tahoe are as follows: System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce Transparency: Enabled System Settings > Accessibility > Motion > Reduce Motion: Enabled Terminal: defaults write -g com.apple.SwiftUI.DisableSolarium -bool YES Edited January 30 by deeveedee 9 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362089-pre-release-macos-tahoe-263/page/4/#findComment-2846889 Share on other sites

deeveedee
@Pc Bacabal I don't use OCLP post-install patches on any of my "production" systems (only for testing and experimentation), so if needed, I use itlwm for Intel Wi-fi and VoodooHDA.kext for audio. SIP csr-active-config = <01000000> for VoodooHDA.kext. A sample config.plist is attached with my pertinent settings for incremental macOS update. What is the exact problem that you are experiencing? If you don't solve the problem, please post your EFI (at least config.plist and Kexts folder) for others to review. 34 minutes ago, fantomas said: Is there any chance you're using a plugin to get the dark theme on your browser? deeveedee
@Pc Bacabal Great detective work! OCLP patches break the APFS seal which forces macOS to perform a full update (not incremental). If you use OCLP to apply post-install patches and you want to perform an incremental macOS update, you will always need to revert OCLP patches before the macOS update, apply the macOS update and then re-apply the OCLP patches. 3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362089-pre-release-macos-tahoe-263/page/4/#findComment-2846899 Share on other sites
strangeron
Thanks for the return. @fantomas The error isn't just in browsers. The cursor looks like this on the window edges. 7 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362089-pre-release-macos-tahoe-263/page/4/#findComment-2846900 Share on other sites
MakAsrock
I stopped using OCLP patches after installing them because they break the APFS seal, which forces macOS to perform a full update. AirDrop and audio are no longer needed. It's faster to transfer files using a flash drive. For audio, I use the DP port and the monitor output to the active speakers. Bluetooth headphones and mouse work natively. SIP csr-active-config = <00000000> and no WhateverGreen. Incremental upgrade works. Among the glitches I've noticed: the cursor appears as a "hand" with a noisy square in the background; the cursor can split into two, the first remaining at the split point, and the second continuing to function as a pointer. I didn’t have this bug before, but a Google icon used to appear. After resetting the cursor, the icon disappeared and now it shows up like in your screenshot. 6 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362089-pre-release-macos-tahoe-263/page/4/#findComment-2846905 Share on other sites
