ammoune78
Hey guys, good to be back here after a while! I've got a new HP Engage Flex Retail System mini pc, until before I have installed everything was working like a charm, aud, vid, lan, wif, nvm and etc . Now, after I've installed Tahoe, I've got no audio, whatever layout id i've chosen for the ALC897 (11, 12, 13, 21, 22, 23, 66, 69, 77, 98, 99) it won't enable the audio. I've seen some having the audio working and some not while some other choosing VoodooHDA, but for that particular voodoohda, I've had always harsh and bad sound with it, I'm not going to use it for now! Have any one succeeded in letting the sound to work? Or should I stick with sequoia for the moment until an AppleALC update? Mirone
@ammoune78 Analyzing the image you posted, the reason for your Kernel Panic and your audio not working is that you are using the wrong KDK, you should use KDK 26.0_25A353 for macOS Tahoe 25A354, lately Apple has not released the KDK for the correct version of macOS, I hope this changes. I'm back to kernel panic at boot , when i did the following: 1- Disabled the AmfiPass.kext from Kernel booting 2- Set the SecureBootModel to Disabled 3- Reverted the csr-active-config back to 00000000 Do i have to enable them back all or just one or two options from the bellow, to have back audio and no KP? If i install the KDK-25A353, will AppleHDA.kext be there? Because i didn't see it, from my last check, and i think only the 25A5279m version that contains it if i'm not wrong! As you can see from the screenshot bellow, there is no AppleHDA.kext on the KDK-25A353! Or if it is on another location, please, point me there. But The correct KDK doesn't have a AppleHDA.kext, so that's why I used the one inside the KDK-25A5279m, knowing that I'm on the System Version: macOS 26.0 (25A354).
