Applied JaS 10.4.8 SEE2 Combo Update patch and reboot. 3. Copied AppleACPIPlatform and AppleAPIC to desktop. 4. Applied JaS SSE2 Beta9 patch to 10.4.8 SSE2 working installation 5. Before reboot, deleted r2d2, AppleACPIPlatform and AppleAPIC 6. Moved AppleACPI and AppleAPIC back to Extensions folder 7. Copied Exp6 kernel (ex. mach_kernel.s6) to root and set permission (sudo chown root:wheel mach_kernel.s6 sudo chmod 644 mach_kernel.s6) 8. Repaired disk permissions and prebinding things 9. Reboot with mach_kernel.s6 Hope it helps. But they are the same as in freshly installed 10.4.7 since JaS 10.4.8 SEE2 Combo Update patch only added r2d2.kext to the Extensions folder. For About My Mac box, even if it does show a profile, it is often wrong on most of our machines. Get the Paulicat SMBIOS file by following the 10.4.8 link in my signature and reading the Paulicat procedure. arthurson Posted December 18, 2006 Author Share Posted December 18, 2006 (edited) and after using s5 kernel from semthex my machine can now show cpu and use itune7 now, even no pics cover available touchpad problem still happen,it works sometimes and stop working with keyboard suddenly, only reboot or logout/login can make it work again safari won't crash easily as it did before only one word to say: GREAT!!! As for touchpad issue, try to replace ApplePS2Controller with previous korking version. BTW, are you a Taiwanese? It will be nice to meet another one here.
