So, my computer is amd 3200+, 512mb, g-force 7200pro and two hdds: baracuda 120gb and old 6,8gb ibm.

I've got two isos, the old 10.4 .4 and the 10.4.6 sse3 for amd. Both installers give no result, with different reaction. It seems to me that if I'd erase the seagate and made a new partition, it would work, but I don't have a drive for backup. One of the installers "said" that there are problems with boot record, but it's the second partition on the drive. :)

About IBM. I've tried to erase it using mhdd, create partitions using mhdd, windows, partition magic, make and convert partitions using both installers - no result. Just no problems in all the programs, but in the installers...

So the question is what else can I do? Maybe there is another program to prepare the disc?

When I just erase the ntfs or fat32 partition ussing installer, no messages appears, but that operations have no result. Once the program returned disc input/output error.

When I tried partitioning ibm drive, phe progress bar stoped not far from the begining, and nothing happend duaring next 20 minits. Atualy the installer worked, I could move the mouse, open menus, but... And after that I couldn't repare the disc using partition magic, only mhdd erase helped.

I would think it's not drive's problem, but smth wrong with all the configuration, but I've installed the OS to my 4gb WD hdd.

PS: frenchie, I tried to use partition and erase operations.
