Been using SATA SSD no issues at all.

Recently, mounted NVME SSD via PCIe adapter. System freezes at random. Installation of Sequoia was no issue, but on using system freezes.

@vamose, there are no NVMe connectors on the Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H (rev. 1) motherboard.

PCIe adapter may not work stably. Try another slot.

PCIe x4 gen 2 is the only option.

2 PCI slot - unused.

1 PCIe x16 - used by graphics card - AMD Raedon

1 PCIe x4 - NVME SSD Verbatim brand.

minor changes

Based on my research, it is the controller of the NVME card, Verbatim.

Refer to the post below, before investing in your next NVME SSD for MAC compatibility.

Thanks eSaF for highlighting this.

Admin, let me know if you want me to take off the links. Unfortunately no were did I find any reference to compatible NVME cards, hence posted the links.

Receieved WD SN770, 1TB, my mackintosh still random freeze.

Can any one check my EFI, posted at the start of the thread?
