SteveStar
Hi I tried a lot of things to install 10.4.6 JaS to a nforce sata pc but non of them worked, I'm desperate. But I have some questions that have to do with the installation en preparation of it: <Hardware> 1. My sata hd (the only hd i have) is listed in safely remove, is that a problem or not? 2. I checked; start >> my computer >> properties >> hardware >> devicemanagement >> IDE ATA/ATAPI-controllers >> and then there isn't a sata controller, only Parallel ATA en 2 other ones which I can't remember. <Software> 3. Last weekend I used this and this guide to install OS X86, the installation on a physical harddrive was succesfull (I think) but then when I wan't to reboot into OS X with VMWare (or native) it doesn't work because I think there hasn't been installed any data to the partition I chose. And when I check that partition in mycomputer it's empty. Please help me with this. thnx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36092-a-lot-of-questions/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
nForce3 SATA can work with OSX. nForce4 SATA cannot. Get a PATA drive if using nForce4 SATA. When installing OSX, be sure to select correct packages in the Customize window of the installation: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...ost&id=4249 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36092-a-lot-of-questions/#findComment-256919 Share on other sites
