few
Hi, I've recently decided to Hackintosh my old Acer TravelMate 5720 with the following specifications: Intel Core2 Duo T7300 Merom Dual Core CPU ATI Mobility Radeon X1700 512MB (detects normally in windows, runs smoothly and works great) 2x2GB SODIMM DDR2 800MHz RAM 320GB SATA HDD The problem is that when you get to the booting and more specifically wait until it loads and after the DSMOS has arrived message, I'm getting on half of a screen vertical artifacts and each boot they're different colored. So after they appear, they quickly disappear and after a couple of seconds the verbose log clears and stays like that forever. I've chosen Mac OS X Lion as on SMBIOS the specifications of this laptop closely resemble a MacBook Pro 2006. Any clues to why it is happening? I'm using OpenCore Debug 1.0.6 Thanks. miliuco
@few Talking about the GPU, I don't see X1700 in the Dortania Buyers Guide: X1000 Series (1xxx) Highest Supported OS: Lion (10.7.5) Initial Supported OS: Tiger (10.4) X1900 XT X1600 X1300 Maybe your GPU is not supported at all but I hope that you'll get help from other users. 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360808-issue-artifacting-in-kernel/#findComment-2831024 Share on other sites

I've seen some people rocking with the X1700 [they patched the ATIRadeonX1000.kext and ATIInject.kext probably], also recovery shouldn't have drivers.
