ArtikDiamond
Hello everyone, I am experiencing a boot issue with my HP 250 G6. I've tried multiple EFI configurations, including one created with the Dortania guide and OpCore Simplify, as well as one from github (GitHub - aidasaidas75/HP-250-G6-OpenCore: My own Intel HP 250 G6 OpenCore EFI for Intel i3-6006u variant) but my PC fails to boot and goes into kernel panic. I've attached a photo of the error message for reference. Model Specs: Processor: Intel Core i3-6006U (2.0 GHz, 2 cores, 3 MB cache) RAM: 8 GB DDR4 Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 520 Storage: Crucial MX500 240GB SSD Last EFI Tested is attached as well as KP photo. Link (GDrive) Does anyone have suggestions or solutions to fix this issue? Thank you in advance for your help! Slice
If I am not mistaken the Skylake graphic was supported until Monterey. Or Ventura not not Sonoma. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360598-kernel-panic-on-hp-250-g6/#findComment-2831654 Share on other sites

OpenCore Install Guide says to spoof SkyLake iGPU as the closest Kaby Lake model. I haven't tried it yet. I'm still using Monterey and I have a dGPU. https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/config.plist/skylake.html#add-2 https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/extras/ventura.html#dropped-cpu-support Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360598-kernel-panic-on-hp-250-g6/#findComment-2831712 Share on other sites

joevt
I wonder if spoofed Skylake iGPU can do > 4096 width in macOS since it should force using newer Kaby Lake drivers. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/intel-graphics-and-5120x1440-testing-in-big-sur.2244174/ I think Skylake iGPU supports > 4096 width in Linux.
