ShortcutLnk
Found out I cant reply to the post in question with test results (see https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/359145-xnu-10136-anv-high-sierra-v2/ ) so figured I'd try posting it here to see if anybody else sees it I tried running both the kernel from that post, and the one from spakk on this post https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/359101-anv-xnu-1400-legacy-kernel-v3/#findComment-2818896 with both Clover and Enoch. The machine used for testing is a Dell Dimension E310 with a Prescott Pentium 4 (so it can do 64bit and sse3, no ssse3 however). On Clover, both kernels just caused an instant reboot without any signs of life. On Enoch, spakk's kernel got stuck at a black screen, while Andy's caused a reboot. I realize this system might be far too "legacy" for these kernels, but I figured I'd report on them given I was trying other kernels anyway. (i.e. was trying to boot 10.8.5 but kept getting either "EFI not supported" or "divide error" kernel panics, so gave up) if anybody has any potential tips for convince this to work, I'd be interested in hearing it Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360522-anv-10136-legacy-kernels-on-pentium-4/ Share on other sites
