Rammjet
i have the same problem. I choose following package for installation1. Jas 10.4.8 Combo Package 2. Intel.SSE3.Simthex 3. 10.4.8.USB.Fix 4. Sigmatel9220audio.support I would not choose the USB fix. It should not cause reboot, but it will likely break your USB rather than fix it. Do not choose the Sigmatel audio support unless you are positive that your computer can use it. Add the 10.4.4 Loginwindow to prevent the About this Mac from crashing. I had 10.4.5 installed on it before wiping it clean and installing 10.4.8 Thank You for you help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36033-after-1048-installation-asks-to-reboot-several-times/#findComment-262809 Share on other sites

failo
I have the same problem. I checked installer log: bad file format. The problem occurs at 1.2 gb point when installing essentials. I`ll try to change something in BIOS.
