I have a PowerColour Radeon HD 7870, and in Sierra and earlier, it works fine, but starting in High Sierra, it only outputs to Mini DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI just show a black screen. Does anyone know how I can patch it? I no longer have a DisplayPort adapter and as this is just a spare system, I'm not really interested in buying another

This system is legacy only, I've tried on a UEFI system and it had the same issue.

You might want to try using a tool like Clover or OpenCore to patch your graphics drivers for High Sierra, as they can sometimes help resolve output issues with older GPUs.

This is long and complex procedure depending on your hardware properties.

Slice, with Clover from version 5155 onwards, after adjusting the order of the kext for the Wifi, if you activate the inject, we still have a gross error... already in this version and previous versions, everything works correctly

As far as I remember the problem with WiFi kexts injection was resolved in revision 5157. New version 5160 contains all improvements and has no such issue.

As soon as I activate the inject option I get this crash with Clover r5156 and newer

Is there an OpenCore guide for this? I don't really want to switch to Clover as I already have an OpenCore EFI made and there's no easy to read Clover guide like there is for OpenCore (e.g.: dortania's opencore install guide)

I see a crash with legacy boot not with inject option.

Anyway you say crash with 5156. I say the problem was resolve in 5157.

Don't forget this guide by @cankiulascmnfye, very detailed.

@chris1111

The HTML of course is valid, both on your GitHub and in HackyColor HTML, plus it's very easy to read and find info.

@PG7

I've tried Clover with the wifi injection (IOSkyWalk) with no issue, putting the necessary kexts into the kexts folder and enabling IOSkyWalk quirk plus Csr-active-config=0x803. Did you do so?
