helios Posted December 16, 2006 Share Posted December 16, 2006 Hi! I have gotten a T43 today and noticed that the integrated wireless is supposed to work in OS X. Tried this guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...hl=atheros+1014 as he got the same card as me. <string>pci168c,1014</string> Is what I have tried to put into the 10.4.8 and 10.4.7 version of the IO8 kext (well in the Atheros airport kext inside). But it refuses to load, seems like a permission failiure... have chowned and so on and removed kextcache and run diskutil, but to no success. I even tried the 10.4.5 version and installed it from Pacifist. It has my <string>pci168c,1014</string> already inside so it is untuched. How can I get this last thing working on my laptop? But I'm wondering if I should try the real 10.4.8 kext instead of the 10.4.5? Do I get any improvements with the newer kext?
