[HELP] Sleep 😴 issues with my MSI z590 MPG Carbon Gaming Wifi - i19-11900K Comet Lake

Been on InsanelyMac since 2017, but never needed to post..... until now.

I'm trying to solve sleep issues with my MSI z590 MPG Carbon Gaming Wifi build on Ventura 13.6.7 on NVMe 1, Windows 11 on NVMe 2 on a McFiver card; I have 2 4TB WD SN850x striped as a 8TB RAID 0 for Resolve playback in M2_1 + M2_3 slots, which still allow SATA ports 3+4 and 5+6 to function.
dGPU is AMD Radeon RX6800XT, with a dual slot BlackMagic 4K Extreme 12G card + daughter card for SDI/4K HDMI video playback.
Β

Using Opencore 1.0.1, EFI was built originally by Hackintosh.Expert which I have incrementally modded. Mapped USB Ports in USBMap, complied SSDT-AdOn.aml from SSDT-AdOn.dsl. (has no effect), tried thisΒ as well.
Windows 11 has no issues waking from sleep when the NVMe is on the McFiver card. To alleviate pulling a card every time I need to tweak the config.plist I have the NVMe in a SSK USB 3.2 enclosure which I mount on a nearby Mac Mini in case πŸ’© hits the πŸͺ

I can "force" Sleep from the Apple menu, but cannot wake up if the machine sleeps longer than a minute or so. My only way around it is to have the machine do something CPU intensive, like playing a 11-hour long 4K timeline in Davinci Resolve. Just looping a song in Music causes it to {censored} out.
Would like to get working WiFI and BT and use Handoff, etc., but not the biggest deal in the world if not.

Please help! πŸ™πŸ½

I currently cannot attach the EFI due to file size limitation so I posted it here

added details.
Currently in use:
 standby 0
 Sleep On Power Button 1
 womp 1
 hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage
 proximitywake 0
 powernap 0
 gpuswitch 2
 networkoversleep 0
 disksleep 10
 standbydelayhigh 86400
sleep 10 (sleep prevented by coreaudiod, Resolve, sharingd)
 hibernatemode 25
 ttyskeepawake 0
 displaysleep 10
 tcpkeepalive 0
 highstandbythreshold 50
 standbydelaylow 86400

according to

pmset -g

HibernationMode is 25, but in Misc > Boot > Hibernate Mode: None, I have tried Auto, RTC, NVRAM, all with the same results. I have the iGPU to disable, but wouldn't mind using it as Resolve (where I am 95% of the time) loves GPUs (AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB)Β so my UI can be a little slower for it to crunch (via GPU) frames faster. If not, no big deal.

Thanks! That seems to work. It only wakes up with a long press of the power button on front of machine, but not via mouse or keyboard input.
Not required now, but would be great to "wake for network access" via VNC Server.Β

Good to know. I walked away for 2 hours, moved the mouse, and it came back to life, so maybe that was it. Thank you all! 🌟🌟🌟

Don't want to start a new thread, but curious about getting Bluetooth and a compatible Wifi (PCI E?) card for Handoff. Any ideas?

Fenvi T-919 is a sure bet.

Compatible up to Ventura but needs patching with OCLP to work in Sonoma which isn't hard to do.

Great, Thanks for the tip! Will order one today and report back soon.

It is also worth checking the PCIe ASPM settings, sometimes it blocks the exit from sleep, especially with AMD video cards. If you don’t want to bother with Hackintosh trifles, just leave the system active, as you do through DaVinci, this is probably the lesser evil. By the way, after all these settings I myself like to relax a little, sometimes I go to read on https://casinosanalyzer.com/free-spins-no-deposit/free-chips, it helps to switch until the computer decides to β€œsleep” again. Have you tried testing the system with Ventura 13.6.1 or Monterey? There, sometimes sleep works more stably with similar motherboards.

On Ventura, this is often due to macOS not properly managing USB controllers or PCIe devices, especially when there are multiple NVMe and add-in cards in the system.
