AppleOnTheTree
Hello dear forum, I am new here and this is my first time ever in a forum. Therefore, I would like to apologise in advance if I have failed to follow any rules – it was truly not my intention! I am facing the following issue: An older acquaintance of mine owns a 27-inch iMac 14,2. On it, I have installed the latest version of the OpenCore Legacy Patcher as well as the current macOS Sonoma. Everything worked flawlessly – from data migration to patching all drivers, except for Bluetooth. It is recognised, but at very regular intervals, the connection to the mouse and keyboard is completely lost. Initially, I managed to remedy this with the terminal command: sudo pkill bluetoothd. Unfortunately, it is unreasonable to expect an elderly lady to constantly open the macOS terminal, enter the command, and then wait for the Bluetooth to restart and all devices, such as the first-generation Apple Bluetooth Keyboard without a numeric keypad and the Apple Magic Mouse, to reconnect. Interestingly, after executing the said terminal command, the devices reconnect, but scrolling no longer works with the Apple Magic Mouse 1 and 2. What can I do? The peripherals work without issues on all my Macs, from M1/2/3 to Intel x86, despite their age. I sincerely thank you in advance for all your help. Thank you! Cyberdevs
@AppleOnTheTree Hello and welcome to InsanelyMac.com Make sure that you update the EFI folder using the latest OpenCore Patcher (1.4.2) from the original source at: https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/releases/tag/1.4.2 You can also preform the NVRAM and SMC reset on your mac which might resolve the issue.
