Need a quick anwer- Is it a good idea to install Cisco vpn client 4.9 (intel) on Hackintosh (JAS 10.4.6 patch)?

Hi.. I tried a lot searching the forum to find if some actually did install the latest Cisco client on a Home brewed hakintosh. I downloaded the image, was gettiing ready to install when I saw the setup like it would ask me to restart or something, chickened out. :unsure: So please help me out if I can get to vpn to work I am all set...Thanks for help. :(

Yeah, this should work fine. However, you may receive an error 51 when you start up the client. In this case, run the following command in terminal to restart the driver:

 

$ sudo /System/Library/StartupItems/CiscoVPN/CiscoVPN restart

 

I haven't researched too much to find out why it does this, it hasn't bothered me enough for that yet...
