Hi there, I'm new to this hackintoshing things and in still in learning process. I luckily able to setup my mackintosh pretty fast and booted with some major errors (thankfully).

And now, I'm stuck with the audio devices not showing up on this mackintosh, and I really need some help here.

my configurations:

ASUS STRIX G15 G513QM

AMD RYZEN 9 5900HX

AMD RADEON VEGA 8 - 3GB (USING UMAF)

REALTEK ALC285

MEDIATEK MT7921 (iirc)

Running dual boot Windows 11 with macOS Ventura 13.6.3

what I've tried :

I used OpenCore 0.9.7 to install this hackintosh 2 days ago.

after founding out the "HDA access denied"

this log, I initiatively turned disconnectHDA to true.

long story short, I decided to repeat this part again referring to Dortania's and somehow this "access denied" prompt didn't came out anymore. still no sign of audio output.

please, help me out :")

ALC285 is old famous audio codec. But your problem is AMD platform.

I know it will work with Clover+VoodooHDA but I don't know what to do with Opencore.

UPDATEEEE ! VoodooHDA actually sucks *cries internally* it did detect my usb-c headsets, but no sign of internal speakers.

actually there's no problem with the AMD platform, now my speakers and mic works perfectly fine with superb audio quality (thanks to AppleALC)

how?

I actually miss some step on configuring the audio device on the config.plist. i forced the alcid on boot args without filling up the device properties (I'm dumb I know) but after scratching my head for couple weeks I finally made it work with the exact step on dortania's and get rid of the boot args, found the layout id also at 66 (alc285)

also, I'm loving my lossless on this hackintosh u.u (FINALLY!!)

yes! AppleALC certainly does a much better job than VoodooHDA! :)

now I'm on the hunt for a new wifi/bt card ! planning on getting the bcm94360ng, might still be stuck with the Ventura since I found out there's no native support for any card on Sonoma till now :(. aiming for all the ecosystem to work flawlessly across my devices and hopefully I can use sidecar soon hehe

and also thank you, I appreciate the help, mr slice !
