Hey Everyone,

As someone who greatly values the seamless integration of hardware and software in the Apple ecosystem, I've been contemplating the switch to a Mac or considering adding another Apple product to my collection. One aspect that intrigues me is the potential productivity enhancements that many users claim to experience.

For those of you who have been using Macs or other Apple products, could you share specific ways in which your device has notably boosted your productivity, creativity, or overall user experience? Whether it's through unique features, optimized workflows, or a particular software gem, I'd love to hear your firsthand accounts.

Additionally, I'm curious if anyone has encountered any learning curve when transitioning from other platforms to the Apple ecosystem? How was your adjustment period, and were there any resources or tips that helped you make the most of your new device?

Thank you for taking the time to share your insights and contribute to this discussion.

I miss certain drag and drop features that macOS naturally provides that Windows does not.

E.g. in a Terminal window, type cd and then drag a folder icon from Finder window (Windows equivalent to File Explorer) to anywhere onto the terminal window and macOS completes the full path to that folder and you then just hit enter to change the current working directory to that folder you just dragged.

In macOS Terminal you can just double-click a word or highlight any text and drag it anywhere in the window or any other window that accepts text.

Can be done in Windows but not as easy or as efficient.

Moreover you can drag the text on the desktop to create a Clip which can be reused many times.
