ambuy
Hello guys! I'm building my first hackintosh and I'm struggling with my RX580 SP2048. Searching in the interwebs I came across @BlackCH great post (https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/356702-getting-a-chinese-rx580-2048sp-working-on-macos/) and I'm trying to replicate the same on my machine. The thing is that the VM (I use Proxmox) is getting stuck when booting as show below. When I use another vendor BIOS I am able to boot properly, but I only get video in the 2x DP ports, the remaining HDMI port doesn't get any output (Although the monitor is detected). If I use the original ROM in Windows, I get the three outputs working fine. Does anyone have any idea of what should I change/modify to get it fully working? Thank you very much in advance! PS: I tried @BlackCH vBIOS but unfortunately seems they are very different apart of the outputs types I have, 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/357288-im-trying-to-get-my-rx580-sp2048-supported-in-ventura/ Share on other sites
Slice
Why Proxmox? We are using direct boot into macOS and RX580 works OOB. About outputs you are right, the problem is to choose a good VBIOS for your card. Mainly because I need to run other VMs in the same hardware, including some VMs for a couple of thin clients I would like to deploy. Max.1974
I use a generic cheap card for test on my i3 desktop, it for my little child, and works nice after flash bios. If your card was the same generic model, your chipset probably is RX 470. Like mine. So I use this flash ROM, but no guarantee. It's run nice, and not have issues. Back up your Original ROM. Sapphire.RX580.8192.170320.rom.zip Notes: I have 4 GB with this Sapphire ROM, and not 8 GB anymore like RX 580 2048 SP have. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/357288-im-trying-to-get-my-rx580-sp2048-supported-in-ventura/#findComment-2808846 Share on other sites

I tested it but I have the same issue than with my patched BIOS but only showing 2 of the 3 monitors. I think I will stick with the working vBIOS until I have more time to debug this (Maybe giving it another try to ID spoofing). 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/357288-im-trying-to-get-my-rx580-sp2048-supported-in-ventura/#findComment-2808860 Share on other sites
