Killa Aaron or Freaky Chokra (or anyone else who knows the secret),

 

Could you please help a brotha out and let me know how to get my Finder and pop-up menus to look like yours?

It's the last step in my quest to be assimilated by the dark side (apologies for mixing Star Trek and Star Wars terminology in the same sentence)... :)

Good to hear from a fan of both. (Assuming you are!) ;)

This menu change can be easily applied using the latest FruitMenu. However, it ain't [k'ed].

And, there's no registration info for it too, as of yet.

Hence, you can enjoy it for 15 days trial. Unless you find a fix, Dude do us all a favor! ;)

CS5 Smart Paste feature is insane, I'm in DW a ton and they added some really cool stuff, just do a YouTube search for "CS5 features" and you'll get plenty visual examples of what i'm talking about.

 

Wallpaper is from a set Nvidia put out a few years back, you can prob find them with a quick goog query.

 

HDD Icons are from Marfix Aluminum set, I think. Local is 5th Ave Mac Store.

 

I grabbed everything you see there (icon-wise) from either this board or DeviantArt. Mostly from the latter.

 

DeviantArt has tons of .icns packs, but w/ CandyBar you can load in just about any format of icon or image to work with. You can even roll your own .icns packs using the export feature.

I looked for the icons, but couldn't find them. :thumbsup_anim:

I typed "Marfix" in the deviantArt search box but it have no hits.

I even tried Google. (lol to the colors :P )

 

I'm looking for the hard drive icons and the screens.

Yeah, I guess that is where I was getting confused...

 

I saw the mention of FruitMenu on Killa Aaron's DA page, but the current version available for download doesn't work on SL, and when I played with it in Leopard there didn't seem to be any way to change menu colors.

Check out the latest version. It's Snow Leopard Capable/Ready. Honest

 

And let us know how the cool Translucent Black context menus feel?

Frigging {censored}, yes it does! unnecessary stuff just bogging down your Computer just like Windows, even when runnign the world's most sophisticated and secure and awesome Operating System -> Mac OS X!!!

Yeah, I realized what [K'ed] meant just after I posted, and edited out that sentence... :whistle:

 

Don't have a crack, but did figure out a work around (although it's a pain in the butt) - assuming you initially installed with the "this user only" option, you can create a new account and re-install (again for "this user only") in that new account giving you another 15 days to play with.

 

Unfortunately you have to re-do your desktop and other preferences in the new account, but at least you can keep using the Beta until the final version is officially released...

Hope the developers don't try to fix it in the next Beta or Rc or Final!!!
