Jener Posted May 3, 2023 Share Posted May 3, 2023 Hello Everyone, I'm trying to get Ventura installed on my PC via Opencore but can't figure out how to solve a Panic issue. I've followed the Dortania guide at https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/config-HEDT/haswell-e.html for my Haswell-EP CPU. My config is: Motherboard: ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS CPU1: Intel Xeon E5-2697 v3 CPU2: Intel Xeon E5-2697 v3 Audio: Internal Realtek ALC1150 LAN: Internal Intel I210 I'm attaching the OpenCore EFI and Log as well as a screen shot of the boot panic. Ellybz Posted May 3, 2023 Share Posted May 3, 2023 (edited) A few questions / pointers… - Did you mod your Bios to unlock MSR/CFG, enable Speedstep, NVMe, etc..? - Did you successfully install another OS on this platform prior to Ventura ? - The I210 is problematic since Monterey, Try Installing OSX without a cable plugged in. Jener Posted May 4, 2023 Author Share Posted May 4, 2023 eSaF, Your last EFI did not work at all, OpenCore freezes. 😢 Ellybz, I did change some settings in the Bios, however it does not have Speedstep or MSR/CFG options. I believe He made a EFI in the past for the ASUS Z10PE-D16. PS : You should probably fill your specs on your profile page so others can assist you better. Slice Posted May 5, 2023 Share Posted May 5, 2023 @Jener I also had problems with Xeon CPU on my comp#3. Three things you should do 1. Edit DSDT to correct number of CPU cores. Usually it contains much more than macOS can eat. 2. Use VoodooTscSync.kext 3. Choose right set of Quirks. One of them is TscSyncTimeout. You have a USB map with more than 15 ports and custom SSDTs, including one which disables the EC device but does not provide a fake one for macOS. How have you generated these?
