-NoteBook KabyLake Download HERE

follow these instructions

-Use USB2 port for easy installation with no remap USB
-Users with IGPU can use -igfxvesa bootarg for easy installation
-Delete old EFI folder and paste new. Don't use merge files
-Don't use Drag and Drop into EFI partition. Use Copy/Paste instead
-Reset NVRAM one time - with OpenCore use entry "Reset Nvram" / with Clover use F11 key on boot screen

Thanks! Will I need to reinstall macOS? If so, can I do Ventura instead?

I reinstalled Monterey with the EFI, but I am getting this error, then a timeout.

awdd[107] trlggered unnest of range 0x7f847000000->0x7847200000 of DYLD shared reglon In VM map 0x6da1a39410f1359. Whlle not abnornal for debuggers, this increases system memory footprint until this target exits

Then:

Thanks! By the way, could I install this on a usb external drive to make sure everything works before I install it on my ssd? Also, I have the version without thunderbolt, will I need to remap usb?

@Pottle yes, you can install it on external drive. Actually that's how I tried Ventura for the first time, then transfered it to my internal ssd. I've always used my external nvme through the thunderbolt port as the speed is fast enough till the point I can barely see any difference between booting from external and internal ssd.

For the USB mapping ... better give it a try and test it. I've never had 7490 without thunderbolt so it's hard to be 100% sure. Is everything else working as expected ?

The installer just won't boot at all, I just get a black screen with an option to retry boot.

The other entry in bios for it brings up a macos boot menu which does nothing except reboot endlessly unless you select the windows option.
