Does Mac OS X take advantage of both cores?

Hi guys!

I know that the AMD 64 3800+ X2 works with Mac OS X (yay!) but as said by other people, it only detects one CPU but two activity graphs. Does anyone know if two CPU's are suppose to show up? Will Mac OS X take advantage of both cores? Also, where can I find updates? (For Mac OSx86, that is)

An AMD X2 is one CPU so it's not surprising that two CPUs don't show up :) . Yes, OS X takes advantage of both cores, as evident in reported Xbench thread test scores of dual core systems.
